Application information

Find out about requirements, fees, and deadlines

First-year

HPU understands that each student has a unique academic history and individual talents and we take a holistic approach to reviewing applications. In addition to the application, first year students will need to submit high school transcripts (official or unofficial) and the $45 application fee. Test Scores (SAT/ACT), personal statement, and letter of recommendation are optional, but not required.

Transfer

To be considered a transfer student to HPU, students will need to have completed 24 or more transferable university-level credits. Students who are transferring from other universities or colleges must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of a 2.5. In addition to the application, transfer students will need to submit transcripts from each college or university that they have previously attended and the $45 application fee. Transfer students who have completed 24 or more college credits are not required to submit high school transcripts.

Additional Information

At HPU, we want to remove financial barriers and assist students in meeting the cost of attendance. More than 90% of students receive federal grants and/or institutional aid. In the 2021-2022 academic year, HPU awarded over $45 million in institutional aid. New incoming freshmen and transfer students are automatically considered for academic merit scholarships at the time of admission. No separate application is required.

You can find more information about talent-based scholarships including band, debate, eSports, orchestra and vocal on our website.
