First-year

Traditional freshman applicants are typically under the age of 21 and currently enrolled in high school or have graduated from high school within the last two years and have not attended any regionally accredited college or university (not to include dual enrollment).

Transfer

Transfer applicants have attended a regionally accredited college or university after graduating from high school or receiving a GED.

Additional Information

All applicants are automatically considered for scholarships and more than $200 million is offered annually in financial aid packages.

ODU features a variety of ways to explore the University. Campus tours are led by student ambassadors and last about two hours. Allow about five hours for our Open Houses, held several times throughout the fall and spring and take a more comprehensive view of ODU and what it takes to be a Monarch. First Fridays feature an in-depth look at several Colleges including Science, Engineering and Health Sciences and are held from 2 to 4 p.m.
