Soka University of America is a private, nonprofit, four year liberal arts college offering a nonsectarian curriculum in southern California. The university's mission is to foster a steady stream of global citizens committed to living a contributive life. Soka was founded upon the principles of peace, human rights and sanctity of life. Nearly half of Soka students come from 60+ countries and 6 different continents.
Our Curriculum:
A comparative study of Eastern and Western thought meet on our campus and are taught across a broad liberal arts curriculum. Soka's unique core curriculum focuses on issues of self, society, and environment.
Students applying to our Undergraduate program pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts degree and select a concentration in either Environmental Studies, Humanities, International Studies, Life Sciences (Pre-health track available), or Social and Behavioral Sciences.
