Find out about requirements, fees, and deadlines

First-year

Applicants who are currently enrolled in high school, or have not enrolled as a college or university student since graduating from high school. For more information, please see our Requirements page.

Transfer

Applicants who have attended another college or university after graduating high school, but before enrolling at UIC. To apply as a Transfer student, please use our UIC Transfer Application. We do not use the Common Application for Transfer students. 

Additional Information

UIC offers limited merit-based scholarships for first-year applicants. To be at the top of our list for these offers, students should complete their UIC application for Early Action by November 1, our date for priority consideration for first-year applicants.

Important Dates for 2023-2024
  • August 1 - Common Application opens. 
  • September 16 - Join us on campus for Open House.
  • November 1 - Early Action, Guaranteed Professional Program Admissions (GPPA), and Scholarship Priority Deadline 
  • February 1 - Regular Decision deadline 
  • May 1 - National Decision deadline for admitted students to accept the offer of admission
