University of Missouri

University of Missouri

Known to most simply as "Mizzou," the University of Missouri was founded in 1839 as the first public university west of the Mississippi River. We are Missouri's flagship University, a land-grant institution and a member of the Association of American Universities. With 300-plus degree programs, we have your major. And we are one of only six public universities nationwide that can claim a medical school, veterinary medicine college and a law school on the same campus.

I toured Mizzou and absolutely fell in love. At Mizzou, I found the place where I could finally see my dreams become reality with a degree program built just for me.
