Founded in 1920, the University of St. Francis is a nationally ranked, Catholic, Franciscan university. First-year

A first-year student is a traditional undergraduate student who graduates from high school and attends the university. As a University of St. Francis freshman, you can be sure that your college experience will start on the right foot. We work closely with you through the application, admissions, and financial aid processes, so you can relax and fully enjoy the experience of becoming a new college student. Students interested in applying to the University of St. Francis can apply using the Common Application or at stfrancis.edu/apply.

Transfer

Transfer students are undergraduate students with some college credit or an associate degree. The University of St. Francis accepts college credit from accredited two-year and four-year institutions and from military training. The University of St. Francis is a private, Catholic, four-year institution that serves nearly 4,000 students nationwide. Undergraduate and graduate programs are offered in arts and science, business, education, nursing, health care and social work.

Students at USF benefit from small class sizes that allow for greater learning. The average class size at USF is just 16 students. With nearly 50 undergraduate majors and over 40 clubs (including Greek life), there’s something for everyone at the University of St. Francis.

Studying at USF can be affordable thanks to USF’s 88 scholarships and grants. Freshman students can earn scholarships up to full tuition annually, and transfer scholarships are awarded up $21,000 annually. 100 percent of incoming freshmen received some financial assistance, with $19.3 million total in St. Francis scholarships and grants being awarded in 2018-19.
