The University of Vermont (UVM) is a leader in undergraduate education, offering academic challenge along with expansive research, clinical, field study, and internship experiences. UVM's size (11,326 undergraduate, 912 graduate, 483 medical students) allows our students to be a member of an academic ecosystem filled with opportunities to make deep academic and personal connections. Although public, 75% of UVM's undergraduates come from outside Vermont and represent 40+ countries. The UVM Medical Center, a level one trauma center located in the heart of campus, and specialized laboratories support UVM's teacher-scholar model. UVM students are engaged, open-minded, and passionate about the world around them. They find inspiration in the Vermont landscape and in Burlington, ranked among the nation's top ten cities for business innovation and best college towns.
