First-year

Admission and merit scholarships are test-optional.  Your application checklist consists of a high school transcript, a $50 application fee and  a portfolio review for BFA art applicants or Decision Desk application for music applicants.  If you are submitting test scores, send your official SAT or ACT scores electronically to William Paterson University from The College Board or the American College Testing Program,  

Transfer

Transfer Students may apply to the University by submitting the following necessary documents. First apply online and submit all official college transcript(s). If you have fewer than 12 college credits completed, submit your high school transcript (SAT/ACT scores are optional). A portfolio review for BFA applicants and audition for music applicants. Applicants with 60 or more credits must declare a major. A $50 application fee must be submitted.

The University Honors College at William Paterson University offers academically gifted students the space to explore new ideas and engage in intellectual and creative collaborations with experienced and dedicated members of the faculty. It offers a rigorous curriculum with a challenging array of courses, seminars, and co-curricular activities. The University Honors College provides a comprehensive educational experience that brings together the academic, residential, social, and cultural experiences of its students. It is open to students in all colleges and majors. Nearly four hundred students are currently enrolled in the Honors College.
