VirginiaCAN Conference

The Virginia College Access Network is a network of college access providers across Virginia. VirginiaCAN member organizations share a common goal: to support and enhance post-secondary education access and attainment for Virginia residents. 

The VirginiaCAN conference will bring together ~400 educators, administrators, policymakers, and advocates through inspiring keynote presentations, interactive workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities to catalyze action toward a future where everyone has equitable opportunities to access, thrive, and attain higher education. One of the conference content goals is to explore pathways to higher education access for underrepresented and marginalized communities.

Common App is accepted by 1,100 colleges worldwide, including 44 in Virginia. We have a moonshot goal to close the equity gap in low-income college applicants by 2030. We need your help to do this. Join us for our "Expanding college access with Common App" session to discuss the changing college admissions landscape. We'll discuss using Common App and Reach Higher to connect students with college opportunities, including direct admissions, scholarships, and mentoring. We'll share data insights and resources to help you advise and celebrate students on their postsecondary journeys. Come with your questions!
