First-year

AMDA requires a completed application and audition for admission consideration. Carefully review and follow the audition requirements at amda.edu/audition for your respective program. Auditions may be done in person or via video submission. All disciplines cover the requirements for our Bachelor of Fine Arts and Associate of Occupational Studies degree programs. The minimum GPA required for admission to AMDA is 2.0 out of 4.0 or its equivalent on other grading systems. Final official high school transcripts must be submitted to AMDA prior to your enrollment.

Transfer

For students who began their education at another institution, AMDA offers the opportunity to transfer credits into any BFA Degree Program. Students may submit up to 30 General Education credits for consideration. AMDA requires a completed application and audition for admission consideration. Carefully review and follow the audition requirements at amda.edu/audition for your respective program. Auditions may be done in person or via video submission. All disciplines cover the requirements for our Bachelor of Fine Arts and Associate of Occupational Studies degree programs.

Additional Information

ADMA gives over $14 million to students in scholarships each year. These institutionally funded need and/or merit-based awards are given to students based on the results of the audition, application and FAFSA.  AMDA's financial aid programs include many institutional scholarships and government awards.

Experience a day in the life of an AMDA student at a Group Campus Tour in New York or Los Angeles. New York and Los Angeles Group Campus Tours are on Fridays at 12pm. Group Campus Tours allow you to visit and see classrooms on campus, the performing spaces, campus housing, get audition tips and receive information on admissions, financial services and scholarships.
