First-year

Earlham's admission process takes many factors into consideration when evaluating applicants with the ultimate goal of finding students who have the potential to be successful academically and who will be positive members of our community. First year applicants have completed at least 15 academic high school units or the equivalent and have not been enrolled as full time, degree-seeking students at another college or university. See more details about applying at earlham.edu/admission/apply.

Transfer

We welcome applications from students who have successfully completed courses while enrolled at another postsecondary institution, but have not yet earned a four-year degree. A transfer candidate should be in good standing at the college or university she or he is currently attending. Transfer students must spend a minimum of four semesters at Earlham in order to receive an Earlham degree. See more details about applying at earlham.edu/admission/apply.

Additional Information

INVESTING IN YOUR FUTURE
A quality liberal arts education at a private college can be affordable. At Earlham, we recognize that cost is a key factor for many families when evaluating colleges. Earlham's financial aid packages are supported by the College's healthy endowment and alumni and friends who believe in the value of an Earlham education. Merit-based aid is determined by the Admission Office at the time of admission. No additional application is required. Need-based financial aid requires the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Go to www.fafsa.ed.gov to fill out your application. Our school code is 001793.

AN EPIC EXPERIENCE
The world demands courage, creativity and fresh ways forward. Our answer? EPIC (the Earlham Plan for an Integrated Curriculum), a 4-year journey through the liberal arts that integrates the academic major with transformative learning experiences, including research, study abroad, internships, and leadership development, to prepare students exceptionally well for life beyond Earlham. A key component of EPIC is The EPIC Advantage, a funded internship or research opportunity available to all Earlham students. Find out more at earlham.edu/academics/programs/epic.

COMMUNITY WITH A DIFFERENCE
At Earlham, we believe there should be a connection between life inside and out of the classroom. Our approach is rooted in our Quaker Principles and Practices, which means we strive to create community, embrace simplicity, act with integrity, seek peace, and treat one another with respect.
