Application information

Find out about requirements, fees, and deadlines

First year students are applying directly from high school. Some first year students may have some college credits through AP coursework or other programs, but they have not attended college previously. We take a holistic approach when considering applications and are SAT/ACT optional.  Along with an application, we’ll need your final official high school transcripts (and any college transcripts you may have). For fall semester start dates we make admissions decisions by October of the previous year.

Transfer students have taken classes and earned college credit at a college or university after graduating high school. We take a holistic approach when considering applications and are SAT/ACT optional. Along with an application, we’ll need your official college transcripts and high school transcripts if you have fewer than 12 college credits. Any military students who will be submitting a Joint Service Transcript will also be considered a Transfer student.

Additional Information

Mercy College offers a private college education and personalized learning experience with tuition costs that are, on average, about 50 percent less than other private colleges in the area. Mercy was founded on the belief a college education should be accessible to anyone hungry enough to earn it and we’re staying true to that mission today.
Mercy College offers every student, from the moment they are accepted, a professionally trained mentor to guide them through all four-years. We call this program PACT and it’s the first of its kind and serves as a nationally recognized model for mentoring.
Mercy College’s faculty and staff are dedicated to making higher education work for anyone striving for a better place in life. With four active campuses, the vibrancy of the College culture is sustained by a diverse student body from around the world. Mercy is home to more than 50 student clubs, including the award-winning student paper, The Impact, 16 honor societies and 10 NCAA Division II athletics teams.

“I finally found a home at Mercy. When I first came to campus and talked to the faculty and staff they were so welcoming. I didn’t feel like I’d be a newcomer, I just fit in.”
