We welcome international student from around the world and currently have students from 90 countries studying with us.

Requirements for three-year bachelor’s degree 

Applicants from the USA who have completed a High School Diploma with a GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 will be considered for undergraduate entry if they also have one of the following:

  • SAT 1050 (College Board number 7949)
  • ACT composite: 22 (ACT code 7060)
  • Two APs at 3 in relevant subjects
  • International Baccalaureate: 28
  • Two IB subjects at HL4 or HL6 
  • An Associate Degree with a GPA of 3.0

Requirements for four-year bachelor’s degree with Foundation Year 

Applicants from the USA who have completed a High School Diploma with a GPA of at least 2.5/4.0 will be considered for entry into the Foundation Year. Successful completion of the relevant Foundation Year allows students to progress to a three-year bachelor’s degree.

Additional Information

St Mary’s University offers International Undergraduate Scholarships of up to £3,000 off the first year’s tuition fees. First year overseas undergraduate students who possess a non-British/non-EU passport will automatically be considered for the scholarship. 

St Mary’s University participates in the William D Ford Federal Direct Loan Program. Federal Direct Loans are low-interest loans available to help US students pay for their education. Private loans may provide an alternative means of funding if you cannot cover your entire study and living costs with federal loans or you don’t qualify for federal loans.

Nestled just minutes from the River Thames, the local area has plenty of parks, shops, restaurants and interesting places to go out and explore. 

The campus includes a charming mix of historic buildings and modern, state-of-the art facilities including a new library, TV production suite and extensive sports facilities and laboratories. The University offers a range of guaranteed accommodation options to first-year students.
