University of the Sciences

University of the Sciences has prepared leaders and practitioners in the healthcare and science fields since its founding in 1821 as Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, the first college of pharmacy in North America. In that time, USciences has grown to over 30 degree-granting programs from bachelor's through doctoral degrees in the health sciences and bench sciences, and healthcare business and policy fields. Our tradition of hands-on research and experiential learning is evident in every graduate.

First-year

USciences welcomes first-year applicants to apply for bachelor’s and direct-entry professional programs. Students are considered first-year applicants if they are currently enrolled in high school. USciences has a rolling admission policy, meaning that applications are reviewed as soon as a completed application and supplemental materials are received. Students receive an admission decision as soon as it is made and are encouraged to apply early. Required supplemental items include an official high school transcript, one letter of recommendation and official SAT and/or ACT scores.

Transfer

USciences welcomes transfer applicants to apply for bachelor’s degree and direct-entry professional programs. Transfer applicants are currently enrolled at another college/university. Applications are reviewed as soon as a completed application and supplemental materials are received. Students are encouraged to apply early. Required supplemental items may vary depending on program of interest and educational background.

Additional Information

As part of the application process, students are automatically considered for merit-based scholarship potential, which will be included in the acceptance package if offered.  Students are encouraged to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) starting October 1.  The FAFSA determines if students will qualify for need-based aid through the federal government, the state (if applicable), and the university.  Financial aid packages will begin to be mailed in January.

Please contact the Admission Office with any questions at 215-596-8810 or admit@usciences.edu.  We look forward to working with you throughout your application process!

Visit us

USciences encourages prospective students and families to visit campus early and often! We offer visit opportunities throughout the year. Our summer open houses provide a preview of the admission process and programs. Fall open houses offer in depth information about admissions and financial aid, as well as the chance to learn about your intended major in an academic presentation with faculty. We also offer weekly and Saturday tour visits, where you can tour campus and get your questions answered with admissions staff. Schedule your visit today: usciences.edu/visit. See you soon!
