The Common Application Announces Early Adopters of New Transfer Application

Nearly 40 percent of students across all higher ed sectors transfer at least once. The Common App has launched its early adopter program for the new Common App for transfer. Transfer applicants are more likely to be first-generation students, often having to balance work, family, and education. For the current application year, 44.2% of transfer applicants using the Common App were first-generation. Read more.

2018-2019 Common Application Essay Prompts 

The Common Application has announced that the 2018-2019 personal essay writing prompts will be the same as the seven 2017-2018 essay prompts. By conducting a review process every other year, rather than annually, The Common App hears from admissions officers, as well as applicants, parents, and counselors, about the effectiveness of the essay prompts. Read more.
