The report tracks both the number and percentage of applicants submitting scores since the 2019–20 season and breaks the data down by key demographics, including first-generation status, fee-waiver eligibility, and state of residence.</p>\n\n<p>Key findings include:</p>\n\n<ul><li style=\"padding-bottom:15px;\">The percentage of applicants reporting standardized test scores has declined from approximately 55% in 2019–20 to 45.1% in 2023–24. This represents a 1.9 percentage point decrease from the previous year.</li>\n\t<li style=\"padding-bottom:15px;\">First-generation applicants were less likely to report test scores compared to continuing-generation applicants. The growth rate of applicants who did not report test scores was faster among first-generation students.</li>\n\t<li style=\"padding-bottom:15px;\">Applicants eligible for a Common App fee waiver were more likely to apply without submitting a test score. This group showed a higher growth rate in non-reporting compared to those not eligible for a fee waiver.</li>\n</ul><p>The data indicate a continued decline in standardized test score reporting among applicants, particularly among first-generation and underrepresented minority students.
