Earlham College

Earlham College is a national liberal arts college with a reputation for excellent teaching, making a positive difference in the world, and for offering each of its students the EPIC Advantage, a funded internship, research experience or community-based project. Earlham students come from all over the U.S. and about 60 other countries. A large percentage of our students study abroad or take advantage of other opportunities overseas. Earlham also ranks 4th among national liberal arts colleges in the largest percentage of international students on campus, according to U.S. News.

What will your EPIC journey be?

Earlham has shaped its curriculum through an initiative called EPIC to help its students connect their academic and personal passions with careers and lives of purpose and accomplishment. EPIC offers students multidisciplinary experiences that combine guided research opportunities, international education, and internships as well as academic centers devoted to entrepreneurship, global health and social justice.

Founded by Quakers, Earlham College has prepared students to contribute to the social good since its inception. Earlham embraces cultural and individual differences alike and offers rich opportunities for leadership, friendship and community.

Besides traditional residence halls, Earlham has friendship and theme housing for those who share like interests. What kind of housing won't one find at Earlham? Sororities and fraternities. Earlham's inclusive community has never had them.

Recognized for their commitment to undergraduate teaching, Earlham's faculty members combine their love of scholarship with their classroom, lab and field experiences. It's a potent combination and it is the College's student body that benefits.

Earlham ranks among the top two percent of all colleges in graduates who earn a Ph.D., and acceptance rates to medical, law and other professional schools are exceptional. The College also stands with the nation's top institutions for the number of students winning academic fellowships. Earlham's graduates from the past 10 years include a Rhodes Scholar, Watson Fellows, National Science Foundation Pre-Doctoral Fellows and more than 20 Fulbright Scholars.
