First-year

Mercyhurst University does not have an application fee. SAT or ACT scores are optional, though applicants are invited to submit them if they believe they would constitute a positive component of the application portfolio.

Transfer

All transfer applicants must submit the following:

  • A completed application
  • Official high school transcripts, if you have completed fewer than 24 college credits.
  • Official transcripts from all previous colleges and universities (unofficial transcripts are acceptable at the time of application. Once admitted and confirmed, students must submit official transcripts) 
  • Letters of recommendation are optional.

Mercyhurst University prides itself on being one of the most affordable and accessible private universities in the tri-state region and practically every incoming freshman receives financial aid in the form of scholarships, grants, work studies, and other programs. 

Last year, 99 percent of freshmen qualified for financial assistance from Mercyhurst, with the average four-year scholarship totaling more than $70,000 – and that is in addition to any scholarship or grant from state, federal, or external sources. Unless otherwise noted, all Mercyhurst University financial aid is automatically renewable for four years of study. Visit us

In-person individual campus visits for you and your family are the best way to get to know the spirit of Mercyhurst, offering a customized campus experience that fits your interests and goals. During your one-on-one visit, you and your family will have the option to tour campus with a Student Ambassador and meet with an admissions counselor. Campus visits are available all day, Monday through Friday. Individual meetings with an admissions representative that do not include a campus tour can also be scheduled.
