MSOE is an independent, non-profit university with about 2,800 students that was founded in 1903. MSOE offers bachelor's and master's degrees in engineering, business, mathematics and nursing. The university is in a vibrant neighborhood of downtown Milwaukee, within walking distance of Lake Michigan, festivals, theatres, museums, sport and music venues, as well as hundreds of companies. First-year

First year students at MSOE are those who are applying for admission to MSOE immediately following completion of high school/secondary school. First year students may have college credits, but those credits were earned during their high school studies.

Transfer

Transfer students at MSOE are those who have enrolled at another institution of higher learning after graduation from high school and before enrolling at MSOE. An applicant is also considered a transfer if they took a break from studies for two years or more after completing high school and before enrolling at MSOE.
