Common App system refresh: July 28-31
The last several months have been some of the most challenging in recent memory. We hope that, in spite of these uncertain times, you have been able to find time this summer to recharge in preparation for the new academic year.
This year, the 2019-2020 Common App for first-year applicants will be offline from July 28-31, 2020 in preparation for the launch of the 2020-2021 application on August 1. Additionally, the transfer application will close on July 30.
Though gearing up for the year ahead may look a bit different, there are still many productive ways for students to prepare while the Common App is offline for its annual refresh:
- What are you looking for in your future college experience? Explore the nearly 900 colleges and universities that accept the Common App, and learn tips and best practices for how to navigate the unique exploration features on our Explore Colleges Profiles.
- Especially now, colleges want to hear authentic stories about students’ experiences. We encourage students to take some time to brainstorm the college essay.
College costs are at the front of many students’ minds. Learn how to make college more affordable.
