First-year

A first year applicant is any student who has not yet completed, but will be soon completing a high school, home-school or GED program. It could also include students that have graduated, but have not begun any college coursework. Applicants who are enrolled in running start or early college programs should apply as a first year applicant, even though you may receive advanced class standing after enrolling.

Transfer

You should apply as a transfer student if you have completed high school and have enrolled in college. Transfer applicants entering Beloit College with fewer than 12 semester hours of transfer credit will be enrolled in first year advising programs. High school students with dual enrollment courses should complete the First-Year Application.
