First-year

Benedictine College offers a standard and a test-optional application plan.

The standard application plan requires applicants to submit an official high school transcript (showing six semesters of grades) along with an ACT, SAT, or CLT score report.


The test-optional plan allows applicants with above a 2.75 GPA to be eligible to apply as a test optional candidate. Applicants with a 2.74 or below are eligible to apply as a test optional candidate. In addition to the high school transcript, these candidates will be required to interview with a faculty team.



 

Transfer

A transfer student is one who has enrolled full-time at another College or University after high-school graduation. In addition to the application for admission, a transfer student must submit transcripts from any college or university they have received college credit.

Merit based scholarships are available to transfer students.

Additional Information

Academic merit scholarships range from $10,000-$20,000 per year. The awards are based on a student's ACT/SAT/CLT and high school grade point average. Your application for admission serves as your application for scholarships. Merit scholarships are renewable. 

In addition, Benedictine College awards 15 scholarships to outstanding young men and women who are selected from the annual Presidential Scholars Competition. Ten full-tuition, Presidential Scholarships and five three-quarter tuition scholarships are awarded to students based on the results of faculty interviews and an essay.

The Programs of Distinction offer undergraduate students a fellowship experience to provide academic avenues of growth and formation to exception students.

A visit to our campus in Atchison, Kansas, is a fantastic chance to get to know our dynamic community, thriving faith life and rigorous commitment to scholarship at Benedictine College. A wide range of visit options are available. Most of our major college visit events take place during the school year, allowing visitors to jump into the flow of campus life. Raven Days, a group visit, are offered on select Mondays and Fridays throughout the academic year. Personalized campus visits may be scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
