Required:
- Common App
- Writing sample, personal statement, or essay (650 words or less)
- Official high school transcript showing coursework completed through junior year
- A School Report completed by your counseling office
Optional:
- SAT (code 1073) or ACT (code 1180) scores
- Résumé outlining activities and honors
- 1-2 Letter(s) of Recommendation
Test Scores
Students can apply with or without standardized test scores. If applying with test scores, self-reported scores are accepted. More information can be found here.
Butler transfer applicants should have completed 12 or more credit hours of college coursework after high school graduation, or be seeking a second bachelor's degree.

- Final high school transcript* (if fewer than 20 college credits)

Butler was a perfect fit for everything I was looking for in a university. The small class sizes allow me to have a closer relationship with my professors, placing a higher value on the student as an individual. Being in Indianapolis, there are so many job and internship opportunities near the University, too.
