Located in Indianapolis, Butler University offers both small class sizes and big-city perks. We offer six academic colleges and 85+ majors, compete in the BIG EAST athletics conference, and are among the top schools in the country for undergraduate education—in and out of the classroom. In fact, Butler was named the No. 1 Regional University in the Midwest for the fifth consecutive year in the 2023 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges Rankings.

Our beautiful 300+ acre campus will feel like home and our lovable live mascot has a national following, but it's our students who will really impress you. Bulldogs are the hardworking, ambitious type. The Butler community’s commitment to student well-being means you will never face problems alone. And our innovative focus on learning by doing—whether in the lab, the boardroom, the community, or across the globe—translates into graduates who are more than prepared to tackle life after college. Within six months of graduation, 98 percent of Butler students receive job offers or start grad school.

Butler truly values real life experience, and constantly reminds us that we are people before we are students. I was encouraged to learn from those that think differently than I do, and to get off campus to experience the world around me.
