Columbus College of Art & Design teaches undergraduate and graduate students in the midst of a thriving artistic community in Columbus, Ohio.

Founded in 1879, CCAD is one of the oldest private, nonprofit art and design colleges in the United States. CCAD offers multiple BFA and master’s degree programs in art and design that produce graduates equipped to shape culture and business at the highest level.

First-year

First-year students (also known as first-time students or freshmen) are beginning their higher education journey for the first time and have no prior college experience. CCAD accepts applications on a rolling basis, which means we review applications all year. To apply as a first-time student for the fall term, please complete the Common App first-time student application and pay the $50 application fee. Then you'll need to provide your portfolio and transcripts, and we will do the rest.

Transfer

CCAD does not offer a transfer application through The Common Application. Please visit our website for more information on how to apply as a transfer student.

CCAD Scholarships: We offer academic scholarships and merit scholarships. These are based on your academic qualifications such as your grades, your personal essay, and on the talent exhibited in your portfolio.
