First-year

When you apply to Dominican, your admission decision will be based on a holistic review of your high school academic performance, engagement in and outside of the classroom, and your essay. Sharing your ACT and/or SAT scores is optional. These scores can only help you – we will accept them if they’re submitted to us, but they will not be used for admission decisions. We start making admission decisions on a rolling basis in early fall for each academic year. Once accepted, you're automatically considered for merit scholarships—no extra paperwork needed.

Transfer

At Dominican, we value your experience and understand your needs as a transfer student. Starting with the admission process and continuing through graduation and beyond, we will help you clear hurdles, discover new interests and meet your personal and professional goals. This is what makes the Dominican experience so appealing: it’s not about passing through a huge, impersonal institution. It’s about joining a true community of learners.

When you apply to Dominican as a transfer student, we make sure you are rewarded with academic credit and merit scholarships for the hard work you have already completed.

"Going to Dominican was a special experience for my family and me. I was the first person in my family to go to college. Dominican created opportunities for me. I found a lot of support through the community at Dominican and I had a real sense that everyone on campus cares about me as a person."
