As a first-year student, applicants must apply and have a minimum 2.0 cumulative high school GPA. Students with a GPA of 2.75 or higher aren't required to submit standardized test scores. Those with a GPA between 2.5 and 2.74 will be considered test-optional, though scores may be requested after review. If your GPA is 2.49 or below, a test score is required.
Official transcripts are mandatory for all applications. Eastern Michigan University admits students on a rolling basis, with decisions made within 2-4 weeks of receiving all materials.

As a transfer student, applicants must apply and have a cumulative college GPA of 2.0 or above and 12 or more transferable credits earned. Applicants with fewer than 12 transferable credits may still apply, but must also submit an official high school transcript or GED score report and ACT or SAT scores.
In order to receive an admission decision, applicants must submit official transcripts from all colleges or universities they have previously attended.
