First-year

Students applying to Fitchburg State University are only required to submit the Common Application itself and an official high school transcript. Essay and recommendations are not required but are highly encouraged.  Fitchburg State operates on Rolling Admissions, so we do not have an Early Action or Early Decision deadline. There is a priority deadline of December 1st for Spring admission and April 1st for Fall admission at which the University may stop taking applications depending on space available in the class overall or specific programs that have reached capacity.
Applicants to our Nursing program are strongly encouraged to apply by December 1st.
There is a $35.00 application fee to apply to Fitchburg State University via the Common App.
