First-year

Students who have not yet graduated high school and those who have earned less than 12 hours of college credit after high school graduation apply as first-year students. Our application review process is a holistic and selective process, where no single criterion guarantees admission. For more information, check out What We're Looking For on our website.

Deadlines

The Office of Admissions must receive all your application materials by the published deadlines. After submitting the application, students submit their STARS Record, test scores, and any additional documentation that is required on their Admissions Portal. For more information, including material deadlines and decision releases, view our deadlines on our website.

Application Plan Deadlines:

  • Early Decision (Domestic students) - October 15
  • Early Action (Florida residents) - October 15
  • Regular Decision (All students) - December 1
  • Rolling (All students) - March 1

Transfer

To apply as a transfer student, submit your application online using our FSU Application. To be eligible for transfer admission, students must have completed at least 12 hours of transferable college credit after graduating from high school. Students who complete an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree while still in high school should apply as first-year students.

For more information about the transfer application process, visit admissions.fsu.edu/transfer/apply. Before applying, students should review the Academic Program Guide for important information about program deadlines, prerequisite courses, audition dates, portfolio requirements, and other program-specific admission requirements.
