Gonzaga takes a holistic approach to admission by carefully considering the following criteria: curriculum and school, grade point average and grade trends, optional SAT or ACT scores, college essay, activities, and character. As a first-year applicant for admission, you are expected to graduate from an accredited high school with a college preparatory curriculum while showing evidence of ability to complete the University's requirements for graduation. Students with college credit taken BEFORE high school graduation (e.g. Running Start) should apply as a First-Year student. Home-schooled students are also invited to apply. gonzaga.edu/admissionreqs
The Transfer Application is intended for students who have graduated high school and have enrolled in college coursework following high school graduation. Apply directly through Gonzaga’s website at https://apply.gonzaga.edu/apply/. Completion of 30 semester/45 quarter credits from a regionally accredited institution is recommended. Applicants should have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 at the college level; first-year transfers must also meet high school admission requirements. In addition, the most recent coursework should be completed with a 2.7 GPA or higher prior to transfer. Finally, applicants should have maintained good standing at the current or most recent institution attended.
