You should apply as a first year student if you have not yet graduated from high school or you are under the age of 25 and have not been to a post-secondary institution of higher learning. A first year student may have earned college credit while in high school. If you earned college credit beginning the fall after your high school graduation you would be a transfer student. It's free to apply.
