To apply as a first-year student at Loras College, applicants can use the Common Application or apply directly through the Loras College website without a fee. The application requires official high school transcripts. Loras College has a rolling admissions policy, with no set application deadline, but recommends applying by December 1 for priority scholarship consideration.
We’ve made transferring to Loras College as quick and easy as possible. Our dedicated transfer counselor, Robbie Stran, will work with students throughout the admission and financial aid process, including answering all questions regarding credit transfers and available scholarships.
Transfer applications are accepted during fall and winter terms on a rolling basis. To be considered for admission, students must complete the online application and submit official or unofficial college transcripts from all institutions attended.
Loras College offers a range of scholarships and financial aid options to help make college more affordable for students. Upon acceptance, all students are awarded a merit-based scholarship ranging between $16,000-$20,000, which is based on academic achievement. In addition, Loras College offers need-based financial aid, which includes grants, loans, and work-study programs. Students can apply for financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Loras College also offers a tuition payment plan that allows students and families to spread the cost of tuition over multiple payments.>
Loras College offers multiple options for visiting campus, including personalized daily visits, Saturday tours, and schedule group visit days. On a campus visit, visitors can expect to take a guided tour of the campus, learn about the college's academic programs and extracurricular activities, and meet with admissions representatives and current students.
Visitors should plan to dress comfortably for walking, wear appropriate footwear, and bring an umbrella or sunscreen, depending on the weather. Visitors should also bring a list of questions to ask and be prepared to engage with the college community. Reservations are required for personalized visits and can be made at loras.edu/visit.
