Misericordia University

Misericordia University is dedicated to preparing students to lead lives of consequence in their professions, their communities, and the world. Located in Northeastern Pennsylvania, Misericordia believes in providing personal attention, support, and opportunities that enable our students to experience success. Service to others is woven throughout all that we do and is a passion for everyone associated with our university. Misericordia University, a Catholic institution, provides a quality education through the tenets of mercy, service, justice and hospitality—charisms set forth by the school's founders, the Sisters of Mercy. Additional Information

Misericordia students benefit from the small class sizes and a support system that is always available. They have countless opportunities to engage with faculty and participate in activities that enrich their experience and help forge lifelong friendships.  Student support offices such as the Insalaco Center for Career Development and the Student Success Center ensure the success of each student through specialized services, workshops, and mentoring.

Four out of five Misericordia students participate in an internship, fieldwork, or a clinical experience before they graduate, so they are entering their chosen fields as confident leaders.  Exclusive to Misericordia, the Guaranteed Placement Program (GPP) offers students a paid internship in their field if they are not employed or in graduate school within six months of graduation (terms and conditions apply).

Misericordia offers over 40 clubs and organizations; 25 NCAA DIII sports for men and women; and our latest addition, eSports, a coed varsity activity. Moreover, our Study Abroad/Away program expands the student worldview, and our Honors program adds an interdisciplinary dimension to the learning experience.

99% of first-time full-time undergraduate students receive financial aid in the form of grants and scholarships.  Misericordia also awards six undergraduate full-tuition scholarships annually.
