Located in the Boston Metro area, our creative community of 400 student-artists thrive in the vibrant downtown Beverly, only three blocks from the Atlantic Ocean. First-year

First-year applicants to Montserrat must complete high school (or the equivalency) by the time they enroll at the College, with proof in the form of an official transcript with a graduation date listed. Dual-enrolled students and/or students who intend to submit AP test scores are considered first-year applicants.

Transfer

A transfer applicant to Montserrat is any student who intends to carry over college-level credits earned at another college or university. Transfer applicants have the same application requirements as First-year applicants, with the addition of their official college transcript(s). Montserrat accepts up to 60 college-level transfer credits (up to 30 studio art credits plus 30 liberal arts credits) in which a grade of C or higher is earned.

Montserrat's areas of study include Animation and Interactive Media, Art Education, Book Arts, Graphic Design, Illustration, Interdisciplinary Arts, Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, and Photography, Video and Film, with minors in Art Education, Art History, Creative Writing, Curatorial Studies, and Entrepreneurship in the Arts. Visit us

There are many opportunities to visit Montserrat throughout the year. We offer several fall Saturday Open House dates, as well as weekday tour and portfolio review appointments. During the school year, tours are available by appointment only, Monday through Friday, at 10am and 2pm. Tours last approximately one hour and depart from the Hardie Building located at 23 Essex Street. Summer tours are available by appointment only, Monday through Friday, at 11 a.m. Reviews are conducted after the tour.
