First-year

To apply for admission, submit to Undergraduate Admissions in the Office of Enrollment Services: (1) a completed Undergraduate Application; (2) a high school transcript (and a final transcript after high school graduation)

  1. Unconditional Admission (Bachelor’s Degree): Unweighted High School GPA of 2.50 – 4.00
  2. Conditional  Admission (Bachelor’s Degree): Unweighted High School GPA of 2.00 – 2.49
    1. Plus a signed and approved Learning Contract. 
    2. Participation in Eagle Success Program.
    3. Admitted to Conditional Admission 1 Associate of Arts / US.COND1.AA
  3. Denied Admission: High School GPA below 2.00 (Unweighted). Students may appeal.
  4. Provisional Admission (Bachelor’s Degree): Unweighted High School GPA of 2.00 – 2.49   
    Only used in cases of:
    1. International Admits. 
    2. Athletes meeting NCAA qualifiers as determined by the Director of Athletics Compliance.
Unless exempted, applicants who do not meet the Kentucky Pre-College Curriculum (PCC) must successfully satisfy the PCC within their first 24 credit hours. Undergraduate Admissions may admit students when special circumstances exist and where students can demonstrate their ability to matriculate at MSU.

Visit us

MSU offers campus tours throughout the year at 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Academic department visits are offered on Wednesday and Friday.
