First-year

First-Time College Students are students who are attending college for the first time either straight from high school or whenever they feel ready to continue their education.

Applying is easy! At MSU Denver, we look at several things within your application and review students in a multi-faceted, holistic approach.

What we look at:

  • Academic record: Grades, classes attended, etc.
  • HEAR Recommendations
  • Test Scores - We are a test-optional and will only consider test scores as part of the review process if an applicant indicates it on the application.
  • Additional Factors:  MSU Denver considers other things that may have influenced how you did in high school.  We will look at your student and community activities, but feel free to share anything else you think is important.
