First-year

First-year applicants are those who will complete high school by the end of the current academic year. Students enrolled in concurrent high school and college courses are considered first-year candidates. Students who have elected to take time off from schooling between graduating from high school and enrolling in college are considered first-year candidates. Transfer


Transfer applicants have completed a high school diploma (or an equivalent) and earned at least 12 semester hours of college credit after graduating high school. More information regarding our application process can be found here.

Additional Information

Institutional scholarships are available to qualified undergraduate freshman and transfer students. Scholarship recipients must meet all University requirements for regular admission in the fall and spring semester for eligibility. Undergraduate students are automatically considered for scholarships when they apply for admission (no additional application required). Eligible students must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) using NAU’s school code 041795 to be considered for federal and need-based institutional aid.
