First-year

Freshmen applicants are students who have not attempted or earned college credit after completion of high school or its equivalence. For applicants who are 21 years or older at the time of enrollment, you must provide proof of successful completion of high school, GED certificate program, or adult diploma certificate program. If you did not attempt or earn college credit after high school, you apply as a freshman student. If you attempted or earned college credit after high school graduation, you will apply as a transfer student.

Transfer

Whether you have an associate’s degree or a few semesters of credit under your belt, there is a place for you in the diverse and welcoming Aggie community. Choose from eight academic colleges and earn a Bachelor’s, master's or doctoral degree from a historic, respected research University. If you attempted or earned college credit after high school graduation, you will apply as a transfer student. If you did not attempt or earn college credit after high school, you apply as a freshman student.

Additional Information

Every prospective college student should complete and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This application is all you need to apply for grants, loans, and work-study aid at most colleges and universities. To qualify for N.C. A&T scholarships, you will need to fill out a separate scholarship application.

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions invites you to visit our campus and see for yourself why the Aggie experience is one of a kind! Our scenic campus is spread over 200 acres and is home to several historic landmarks and countless stories. Our campus visit will showcase an admissions presentation conducted by one of our Admissions Counselors. The admissions presentation will feature the academic offerings, student life, athletics, and admissions requirements. Following the admissions presentation, you will be guided on a walking campus tour by our Aggie Ambassadors.
