A first-year is a student who is coming to NNU after graduation from high school. This first-time student could be coming in with college credits that were completed in high school, but not after. If a student is coming into NNU with credits post-high school, they would be identified as a transfer student.
A transfer is a student who comes to NNU after completing college credits post-high school graduation. NNU accepts transfer credits from almost all other regionally accredited colleges and universities. We strive to serve this student group throughout the process with an admissions counselor dedicated solely to transfer students and with helpful and available personnel in the Financial Aid and Registrar's Offices. If you have questions, contact Rich Vasquez at (208) 467-8499 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We can tell you and we can show you pictures, but the best way to know if NNU is the place for you is to visit our campus! We encourage all high school students in their junior or senior year and all transfer students to visit NNU. You will probably fall in love with our people and with our campus, but if you don't, that's okay too. Visit nnu.edu/visit for more information on how to prepare for a campus visit.
The people here are amazing. The community is no joke. I know this is cliche, but everyone genuinely cares about how you are doing and wants to get to know you. The professors invest into your life and will walk alongside you throughout your college journey.
