First-year

A first year student is classified as a student coming in with no previous college coursework (with the exception of CCP and PSEO classes and AP and/or IB credits) and has not attended another college institution part or full time.

Transfer

A transfer student is any student coming in with college coursework. You must have a least a 2.5 GPA to be accepted a a transfer student, and scholarship opportunities are available for students starting at a 3.0 GPA.

About 97% of Ohio Wesleyan students receive scholarships or need-based financial aid. Our Branch Rickey Scholarship is $30,000, renewable for up to four years, and we make it available to every new student with both of these two qualifications:

Visit us

We offer campus visits Monday-Friday and select Saturdays throughout the fall and spring semesters. In addition, we have many visit days that are great for your first trip to campus to get a first look at the overall OWU experience. We also offer overnight opportunities for admitted students.
