First-year

Piedmont University welcomes first-year applicants seeking a personalized and supportive academic experience. A student is considered a first-year applicant if they have not attended college after high school graduation. Students who earn college credit through dual enrollment while in high school are still considered first-year applicants, regardless of the number of credits earned. Applicants are reviewed holistically, considering academic achievement, curriculum rigor, involvement, leadership, and potential. Piedmont offers rolling admission, and students are encouraged to apply early for priority scholarship consideration. Visit piedmont.edu/admissions for current requirements, deadlines, and scholarship information.

Transfer

Piedmont University welcomes transfer students from accredited colleges and universities. A student is considered a transfer applicant if they have attended any college after graduating from high school or earning a GED. Whether you have completed one credit hour or 120 credit hours, you will apply as a transfer student. Transfer applicants are evaluated based on prior college coursework and academic performance. Students with fewer than 30 transferable credit hours may attend the Demorest campus, while those with 30 or more transferable credit hours may attend either the Demorest or Athens campus. Visit piedmont.edu/admissions for requirements and deadlines.

Additional Information

Piedmont University is committed to making a quality private education affordable and accessible. Nearly all Piedmont students receive some form of financial assistance through academic scholarships, need-based grants, federal and state aid, student employment, and other funding opportunities. Merit scholarships are automatically considered during the admissions process, and additional scholarship opportunities may be available based on a student's achievements, talents, and interests.
