First-year

A first-year student is any student who has not yet graduated from high school. Students taking college courses in high school are still considered first-year students.

Transfer

A transfer student is anyone who earns a high-school diploma, then enrolls at a college or university following their high school graduation. We do not have a minimum number of required credit hours; whether you've earned 0 or 75+ credit hours, you're considered a transfer student. Application requirements differ, so view our transfer admissions webpage for more information.

"The professors here are truly unmatched in their dedication. What should be quick advising meetings turn into thoughtful conversations about my life, goals, and experiences in the field. This level of support has shaped me not only to be a better student, but a better person too.”
