Deadlines and Requirements
Apply by December 15 for early action and merit scholarship priority. Our regular rolling-admissions decision deadline for first-year applicants is March 15. Submit your completed Common Application, $50 nonrefundable fee, and official high school transcript.
Rhode Island College requires at least 18 college preparatory units:
4 units of English, 3 units of Mathematics (Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry), 2 units of History or Social Science, 2 units of Laboratory Science, 2 units of the same Foreign Language, and 5 additional college preparatory units.
Apply by July 15 for Fall or December 15 for Spring admission. To apply, complete the Common Application and pay the $50 nonrefundable fee (recommender forms not required, essay optional). Submit official transcripts from all colleges attended, and a final high school transcript if you have fewer than 24 college credits
Transfer decisions are based on your college-level academic record. You must have a minimum 2.0 GPA and at least 24 earned credits in a diversified program of study. RIC accepts up to 90 transfer credits from regionally accredited institutions for courses with a grade of C or higher
