Entry requirements:
- US High School Diploma (or equivalent): 2.8 GPA minimum (on 4.0 scale)
- International Baccalaureate: 26 IB points
- Your Personal Statement
- One Confidential Letter of Academic Recommendation
- Official School Transcripts (if you are a transfer applicant with less than 30 credits, you must also submit official high school transcripts)
Richmond runs a rolling admissions procedure for all its degree courses. Once we have received your completed forms and all the necessary accompanying documentation, we will consider your application and provide you with a decision as soon as possible.
If you are waiting for references or final exam results, you may still send your application and may be accepted on a conditional basis. Any remaining documents required by the University must be submitted to the Admissions Office before registration.
Richmond encourages applications from US transfer students who have completed university-level work at regionally accredited institutions of higher education.
Transfer applicants should have a grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher and have been in good academic standing upon transferring out of their prior institution.
Transfer Application
Please complete the Direct Application form. Once you have completed and submitted your application, you must also submit the following items:
- One letter of reference from a teacher, professor, or academic advisor
- High school transcript
- Transcript(s) from all colleges/universities attended
- Essay outlining why you would like to study your chosen major at Richmond
