First-year

If you have decided to apply to Saint Joseph’s College and have not taken any college courses after high school you will be considered a first year applicant. In order to complete your application to SJC we will require the common application with essay, official transcript with first quarter grades, one teacher recommendation and one guidance counselor recommendation. We are a test optional institution aside from our nursing program and accept both the SAT or ACT AND the TEAS.

Transfer

If you have decided to apply to Saint Joseph’s College and have taken college courses after high school, you will be considered a transfer applicant. In order to complete your application to SJC we will require the common application with official transcript from both high school and college and one recommendation preferably from an academic institution. We are a test optional institution aside from our nursing program and accept both the SAT and ACT.

Additional Information

Saint Joseph’s College of Maine offers merit-based scholarships as well as need-based financial aid. Students are evaluated for scholarships at the time their application is reviewed. We offer merit-based scholarships up to $20,000 per year. In addition to scholarships, we offer need-based financial aid. Total packages are received around two to three weeks after an acceptance is given.

Early Action I applications are for non-nursing students who are looking to get a decision back early. Students who apply and are complete by November 15, 2019 will receive a decision back before winter break.

Early Action II applications are for nursing students only. Students who apply and are complete by December 15, 2019 will receive a nursing decision back by January 31, 2019. Students are not able to apply for nursing after the Early Action II deadline passes.

Besides these two deadlines, Saint Joseph’s College reviews on a rolling admissions basis and will review student’s applications at any time through the year.
 

Visit us

We strongly encourage visits to our Sebago Lake campus. We want you to experience our community first hand and decide if Saint Joseph’s College could be your home for the next four years. We offer tours Monday-Friday at 10:00am and 2:00pm as well as several visit days throughout the year. We offer a $1,500 visit scholarship to seniors who come to campus for an official tour or visit day.
