Saint Mary’s is a beautiful campus just 23 miles east of San Francisco distinguished by the white walls and red tile roofs of its Spanish Renaissance–California Mission-style architecture, and surrounded by grass-covered hills. The College is known for its tightly knit community, where students connect with other students, alumni, staff, and faculty members. SMC's career guidance and professional preparation gave me the determination and exposure to explore my interests and passions. By the time I graduated, I’d participated in a service project in Brazil and organized a student-led fundraiser to provide aid for Hurricane Katrina survivors. This couldn’t happen everywhere.
