First-year
A first-year student is someone who is currently enrolled in high school or has taken less than 11 college credits after high school graduation. Please note that credits from AP, IB, or dual enrollment courses do not count toward transfer student status.
Transfer
A transfer student is someone who has taken 12 or more college credits after high school. This does not include credits from AP, IB, or dual enrollment courses.
