Applying to Sewanee is free and test-optional. We're looking to say yes. It's how you craft your application that allows us to do so. A strong high school performance demonstrating consistent or increasing strength in coursework is paramount in our review. We additionally require two letters of recommendation. As a close community, we benefit from students who are 'all-in,” we pay special attention to your engagement with us through campus events, college fairs, appointments, phone calls, etc. Visit our website to learn more about domestic and international student admission requirements.
While we are saddened when students decide to apply or enroll elsewhere, Sewanee always hopes that a student’s experience–wherever it may be–is a positive one shaped by formative challenges, intellectual inspiration, and unexpected discovery.
However, we understand that sometimes that unexpected discovery comes in the form of the realization that the school you are attending isn’t quite the place for you. Whether your academic or career goals have shifted or you just haven’t found your community, we would love to see your application.
