Applying to Shawnee State University as a first-year student is simple, affordable, and designed to help you start strong from day one. Complete your application, submit your official high school transcript, send any applicable ACT or SAT scores (if available), and any college coursework you've completed while in high school.

Be sure to keep an eye out for programs requiring a separate application with a deadline. Those programs include Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Dental Hygiene, etc.

Transfer students are an important part of the campus community at Shawnee State University, and we strive to make the application and credit evaluation process as smooth as possible. Students who have attended another college or university after high school graduation should apply as transfer students.

To apply, students should submit:

• A completed application for admission
• Official transcripts from all previously attended colleges or universities
• A final high school transcript may also be required for students with limited college coursework.

Transfer applicants are considered for admission on a rolling basis, allowing students flexibility in planning for upcoming semesters. There is currently no application fee for undergraduate admission. Students are encouraged to apply early to allow time for transcript evaluation, financial aid processing, advising, and class registration.

Many transfer credits may apply directly toward degree requirements, helping students stay on track toward graduation. Academic advisors work individually with transfer students to review prior coursework and assist with scheduling.

Students interested in scholarships, housing, or selective admission programs should review priority deadlines and submit all required materials as early as possible.
