First-year applicants may apply through the Common Application, Coalition Application, or QuestBridge. Skidmore offers three application plans: Early Decision I (Nov. 1), Early Decision II (Jan. 8), and Regular Decision (Jan. 8). The process is simple — no additional essays required, and test scores are optional. There is a $65 application fee, with waivers available based on financial need. To apply for financial aid, students only need to submit the CSS Profile.
Transfer applicants must submit the Common Application (including the Skidmore Supplement) and a $65 application fee. Required materials include a personal statement, official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended, final high school transcript, two letters of recommendation from college instructors, the College Official Report, and a midterm grade report for courses in progress. Students are considered transfers if they have matriculated and earned credit at another college or university. Fee waivers are available based on financial need.
A great college delivers three things: a transformative education, unforgettable experiences, and real preparation for life after college. These are our promises to you — because our success is measured by yours.”
