Students apply for first year admission by completing the Common Application or the Coalition Application online and submitting it to Skidmore, with a $65 non-refundable application fee. Applicants must also submit the following documents to complete the application: Secondary School Report, Midyear Report and two academic teacher letters of recommendation.
Students apply for transfer admission by completing the Common Application (with Skidmore Supplement) or the Coalition Application online and submitting it to Skidmore, with a $65 non-refundable application fee. Applicants must also submit the following documents: Personal statement, official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended, final high school transcript, two college instructor letters, College Official Report and midterm grade report for courses in progress. Applicants are considered transfers once they matriculate and earn credit at another college or university.
Skidmore College encourages visits from prospective students and families. Although an interview is not required, a personal interview allows the Admissions Committee to learn more about the candidate and enables the candidate to learn more about Skidmore. In addition to group information sessions and general campus tours, additional specialized tours for the sciences and for the arts are available. Times for interviews, group sessions and all tours are listed on the Skidmore website.
